Buying a home is a stressful experience and usually your largest investment. We will help you in this process by providing an objective, thorough and professional home inspection report. We perform home inspections full-time and carry a $1 million Error and Omissions insurance policy and General Commercial Liability insurance. We also invest in our business to provide you with the best inspections. We carry over $4,000 of equipment including a laptop computer, color laser printer, digital camera, moisture meter, laser thermometer, ladders and more. Our average time on-site is 3-hours, compared to 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours by many of our competitors. Many times the money saved in items to be requested for repair is greater than the inspection fee, thus paying for itself. We'd love to earn your business!
We perform our inspections in accordance with the ASHI Standards of Practice (click on these words to view them).
When looking for a home inspector, please do your research. There is no licensing for home inspectors in California, so anyone can call themselves a home inspector. Some questions to ask when selecting a home inspector (with my ansers in italics below):
Are you a member of a professional Home Inspector Association such as ASHI, NAHI or CREIA?
We are certified members of ASHI and a member of NAHI.
Do you carry Errors and Omissions insurance?
We carry a $1,000,000 Error and Omissions insurance policy.
Are you a full-time home inspector?
Yes, we inspect homes full-time.
How long will it take to receive the report?
The report will be printed and reviewed on-site, no waiting. It includes color pictures, a summary, a detailed report and comes in a hard binder.
How long do you usually spend on-site?
The average time on-site is 3-hours.
Should I attend the inspection?
Though it's not required, we highly recommend you attend the inspection. It's always better seeing things in person, plus we can answer any questions you may have.
