About Jan Kohake
I have lived in the Visalia area for over 21 years. I moved here from the SF Bay area (Fremont), a population of around 250,000 at the time, to a population of 61,000. Quite a culture shock. I believe it took me about three years before I really appreciated the small town atmosphere, and although Visalia has grown considerably in the past five years, (117,000 approximately), like all cities in California, you still get that small town feeling.
I became a signing agent before the housing market really took off in Visalia. I did general notary work for the first year of my commission and decided to take the necessary classes to become proficient in the loan signing process. I fell in love with the whole experience, it was exactly what I was looking for. And although the mortgage industry is undergoing dramatic changes at this point in time, I will continue to educate myself and keep abreast as to what is going on with the housing market.
I am a member of the American Society of Notaries and certified through The Signing Registry.
