About Us:
I am originally from the Tallahassee, Florida area. I have lived in Southern Pines for 18 years now, thanks to the U.S. Army. I am the mother of 4 beautiful kids and one gorgeous grandson. My husband has been active duty military for 26+ years now, which has helped me to appreciate the challenges sometimes associated with the military lifestyle. After working in the school system for 6 years helping wonderful 1st and 2nd graders, I was looking for a change. Real estate has provided wonderful opportunities and challenges for me. I love my job!!! I meet and work with the greatest people. What a privilege it is to get to know each and every person.
Personal Stuff:
I absolutely love to follow two sports. During football season, you can find me often dressed in my orange and blue. If I am not dressed for Florida Gator football on the weekends, you may find me in my Carolina Hurricanes shirt. I love all hockey (probably not surprising since half my family hails from Canada), but am an avid Hurricanes fan. One of my proudest sports moments was when the Carolina Hurricanes won the Stanley Cup! The second was probably when I traveled to the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto and saw the Hurricanes Stanley Cup picture. It was full size and taking up a whole wall. It was amazing!
Volunteering with children is a favorite past-time. I have spent most of my adult years volunteering and working with children in the school system. There is nothing more satisfying than a child coming up to tell you thanks with a hug!
I also spend a great deal of time volunteering with military families through our Family Readiness Group. Military families sacrifice so much for their loved ones and for their country. It is so important for them to have a support system, and I am so glad that I can be a part of that.
My favorite place to be is at the beach. This is probably a result of growing up in Florida. When I want to unwind, there is nothing better that walking on the beach at sunset. I get alot of great thinking done here. My family and I also enjoy the great outdoors. We love to hike and kayak for family fun.
