Our Firm consists of two very experienced real estate/ transactional lawyers. As the partner who leads the Real Estate Owned (REO), Residential Closing, and Shortsale department I have been very fortunate over the last 10 years to be trained by some of the finest attorneys, clients, agents, paralegals and other professionals in the business. I am licensed to practice in North Carolina, South Carolina and West Virgina. My clientele is very diverse. I work from individuals buying their first home, or their 10th, I represent builders and developer, from single man operations to publicly traded companies.

THE UNIQUE PART OF MY PRACTICE IS MY REO/ FORECLOSURE/ DEFAULT PRACTICE.

This will be my sixth year in the default biz. We represent the Banks as they sell the homes. My contacts in the industry and full knowledge of how loss mitigation and reo work make the process as painless as possible. I have a statewide network of title searchers  and attorneys which allows us to offer state wide coverage in North Carolina. My network allows me to provide between 72 and 96 hour turn times from order to Acquisition report. We also can handle the tough title curative iss ues as they arise. With ten years of practice experience I am able to assist your clients in lot mitigation matters including short sales and other pre-foreclosure remedies.  My Fees are competitive with the local firms. CHECK YOUR FILES AND HUDS 24 HOURS A DAY 365 DAYS A YEAR...... NO KIDDING!

THE SOFTWARE: The software is called SOA CHAIN. Our IT director has taken an existing product and negoatiated a licensing agreement to modify it and remarket it. After setting out the archetecture, he sat down with my partner, me and my staff and asked what we wanted it to do... and we went from there.

1. The software allows the client, the agent/broker, the lender, and any other parties who we designate to see the portions of the closing which concern them.

2. Time lines- All parties have access to see who is working on the file within my office. You can see when it was recieved, and when each step was completed. We have set deadlines for each task, and if we are late, an email is sent out to us notifying us we are late, and a late notice will appear on the report. We have the option of directing the software to send out emails to all parties whenever one of the steps is completed. At all times during the transaction the parties can look at the checklist and it will give an up to the minute report.  \

3. Documents- All parties can look at the documents which have been submitted through the website, and which have been created by my office. So there are no more calls asking "IS THE HUD DONE YET?" This also helps us do remote closings using webconferencing and phones. (yep, we can close these from our office with the clients in your office, with an attorney on the phone or web cam....) You can upload contracts, invoices, termite reports, etc...

4. Disbursements- All parties can look at the disbursements after the closing to see where all money went.

5. E-Documents- My office is 90% paperless. We have ten servers in a secure data center in OHIO, with a mirror facility in our office. So if power is out in NC we can run off of OHIO and vice versa. All of our info is stored as edocuments (adobe PDF) or as SOA Documents which can be printed anywhere using our web portal. So, if years down the road, a client needs a copy of a doc... we can email it or--- they can pull it them selves. And for the "READER CLIENTS", they can read the documents before the closing on line. Finally- we will soon start asking- "Paper or Plastic?" do you want hard paper copies, or a disk??? FOr the lenders we have a page with a legal description, and tax info. The title binder will also be on the site so there should never be a delay

6. The benefit to you? If you have multiple closing scheduled with us, you can use our portal to track all of them at once. Your password will allow you to see all of your closings at once. So we have essentially provided you with your tracking software.

Think about this... if you are a notary, and have a laptop. We can prepare your documents, fedex them to you. Set up a closing time and you and your clients can meet the other parties at the house or the office, and we can do a web conference and do a closing as if we are all sitting at the same table. Think about our troops overseas, or commuters, or investors... this can work anywhere where there is internet access.

We have spent a lot of time and money building this system. We have two more phases to go which include enhancements to our REO and Short Sale operations...
