My name is Jon H Michael, and I am a real estate salesperson.  Though I am fairly new to the realestate business, I believe that my willingness to work diligently for my customers makes up for my lack of actual experience.  I chose to work for DeGeorge Realty for a few reasons, the most important of which is that I truely like the people that both own and work in the office.  We, as a staff, are young and all willing to go the extra mile for our customers.  We are also all, for the most part, from the Long Branch area which gives us a unique understanding of the city and its surrounding suburbs. 

     Before recieving my lisence to sell real estate I attended Monmouth University where I earned a Batchelors degree in English, and an associates degree in philosophy.  During my time at Monmouth University I gained a respect for the surrounding area, which has since grown into a deep admiration.  Long Branch is more than just a city to me, it is my home and as such I would like to do everything I can to make it the best it can be.  It is this idea of betterment and my love for the area which sets both myself and DeGeorge Realty somewhat apart from other agencies in the area.  We at DeGeorge Realty will do everything in our power to satisfy the needs of our customers, be they big or small.

     Everyone has heard that our country is headed towards a recession, and involved in this economic crisis is of course the real estate market.  All over the country people are growing more and more concerned as news reports come across the airwaves spelling out the country's economic woes again and again.  HOWEVER, Long Branch and its surrounding communities are dealing with these tough times differently than the rest of the country.  Long Branch has always been a summer resort area, which brings tourists and summer home owners alike into the area.  After the summer crowd leaves Long Branch and its suburbs become potential homes for Monmouth University students and faculty.  This constant turn over from seasonal renters off sets the economic troubles felt else where in the country and gives our agents year round work.  But, rentals are not nearly the only thing keeping this office and city going.  The Long Branch area is also undergoing a large scale (and much needed) rennovation, which is bringing in new homes, new citizens, and new businesses.  One can easily see that Long Branch is undergoing a make over when driving up or down Ocean Avenue.  The sucess of Pier Village has made it possible to extend the development, and in so doing has made the area into something locals can be proud of.  In addition to the new developments on Ocean Avenue, Long Branch is also planning on refurbishing a large part of historic Broadway Avenue.  This is in Long Branch's business district, and the changes here will add jobs and new businesses to the area.  Long Branch is entering into a period of regrowth and invigorization even though the outside economy struggles.  These are interesting times for sure, and can even be daunting if one merely pays attention to the news, but thankfully the greater Long Branch area has a plan in place which will greatly reduce the effects of a recession, and DeGeorge Realty is going to play their part in trying to normalize the local economy, let us help You become part of the recession solution, not just another statistic in a slow national economy.
