Table Rock Lake in southwest Missouri is the area I live and work in. However, this large lake has over 745 miles of shoreline. My specific areas are Stone and Barry Counties, in Shell Knob, MO. This is often called the "quiet" end of the lake. I specialize in finding the perfect residence for immediate needs, a lake home or retirement plans. Our small town atmosphere allows for a friendliness, energy and sheer fun found in smaller communities that is somewhat rare today.
Shell Knob, Missouri is a popular place for retirees due to its affordable lifestyle. Home prices range from $99,000 to $650,000, with an average near $200,000. Taxes and utilities are also modest.
Table Rock Lake provides the setting people dream about. Clean, clear water makes it perfect for golf, boating, fishing , taking the grandkids tubing, water skiing or ski-do-ing. It is noted for it's bass fishing. All this against the background of the Ozark's gently rolling hills. There is still an abundance of wildlife, due in large part to the Mark Twain National Forest weaving through the area. Besides the usual suspects of deer, raccoon, turkey, coyotes, fox and mink - to name just a few - there is the occasional sighting of a black Bear , panther or wild boar. Over 40 different species of birds, including Bald Eagles, Roadrunners and Piliated Woodpeckers. offer a real show to bird lovers. Hummingbirds hover and zoom abourt from April -September.
When a change of pace is desired, it is only a short drive to Branson Shows and Shopping, or Eureka Springs, Arkansas and the Passion Play. Area residents frequently are allowed to view Branson Shows with Area Appreciation discounts.
This is a Corps of Engineers lake and has myriad rules and regulations to govern the lake and maintain it's purity. As an agent I have the knowledge to assist in dealing with Corps' sometimes complex requirements for new residents.
