Joanne O'Donnell entered the staging industry in early 2002.  Leveraging her 25 years of business and corporate training experience she began staging homes for sellers and realtors in the San Francisco Bay Area. Joanne also teaches the CSP Elite course designed to help agents protect their clients' equity with staging. In 2008 Joanne and Chic went Green!  We greened our internal processes, our design and staging services, our recommendations to clients and began teaching the Certified EcoProfessional program.  In 2009 we launched EcoChic Partners, our Green training and Consulting for business arm.  EcoChic Partners works with business to build and train Green Teams, decrease their carbon footprint and promote sustainable business practices. We are very excited about these changes and the exciting road ahead.

Joanne's work was prominently featured in "Home Staging for Dummies", published by Wiley Press and available in bookstores and on Amazon.  We had more of our work featured than any other stager!

Joanne's Training includes: Certified Staging Professional Instructor(CSP), Dewey Certified Color Instructor  (DCI), Certified EcoProfessional Trainer (CEP), One Day Staging Professional Course, House Doctor Property Presentation Seminar, Certified Home Marketing Specialist (CHMS), Accredited Staging Professional Master (ASPM) program and Train the Trainer. Joanne attended the University of Illinois studying sociology, criminal justice and psychology for both undergraduate and graduate school.

How can I say thank you enough (again)! The home you used for your staging class last weekend looks spectacular. It was on the market since late September and I was really beginning to worry if it would sell. Even though we had plenty of traffic through to tour the home all of the feedback was pretty negative. Most people felt the home was dark and crowded. I got a lot of people who felt that the rooms would not work for the layout of their furniture and many people felt that the downstairs bedroom was useless and too small. We did get one offer but my clients rejected it. It was a very low offer and they were treating the home like a fixer upper even though there was nothing wrong with it. Homes all around us had sold; I have it advertised in many magazines and on the internet but it was just sitting there and both I and my clients were beginning to panic. And then you and your class worked your magic.... After your class I took a client out that had seen the home a month prior just to have another look - she kept assuring me that she had never seen the home before - she was wrong, I had record of it. She loved the layout of the second floor loft / game room; the reason she didn't like the home before is that the second floor loft was "set-up awkward and wasted space" and she didn't think the layout would work for her. One agent who had brought clients through before told me how great the new paint job looked and how it opened up the whole house - I still don't think I convinced him that the house was not re-painted it was just staged. We had seven showings over the weekend after your class and not one person used words like "small", "crowded" or "dark". Both the agents and their clients were complimentary of the home and the feedback consisted of word like "bright and open", "great downstairs bedroom" , "good size rooms" and "great floor plan". The residents of the house were amazed, even they did not realize what great space they had and they loved the changes. I kept meaning to call you and give you big THANKS on Monday but I was busy presenting an offer on the property you staged! That's right...We had a great offer in by Monday and I know that we owe it all to you and your students! My clients only regret is that they will not get to enjoy the new look of their home longer, they will be moving out in mid February and are starting to pack as we speak.
