Areas of Expertise
I am pleased to announce my certification as a Level 1 Infrared Thermogrpher. Infrared scans are included with all home inspections. This amazing technology can reveal problems that may be missed during a typical inspection. Hidden moisture, insulation issues and overheated electrical circuits are some defects easily discovered with the proper use of the infrared imager. This will raise the level of confidence for our clients, and adds a higher level of protection for all involved parties.
Testimonials
Kelley and I want to take a moment to thank you for the very thorough inspection you performed on the home we purchased in Towson. You took the time to explain everything you were doing and encouraged us to watch over your shoulder throughout the process. We appreciated that you did not treat our inspection as a routine formality. It was also helpful that you pointed out things that were OK now, but would require attention in the near future.
All of that alone is enough that we would recommend you to anyone purchasing or selling a home. But the incident with the furnace was especially indicative of your knowledge and thoroughness. You pointed out that there was an abnormal build-up of rust within the gas furnace. Although the furnace seemed to be operating properly, you recommended that the sellers obtain a certification by a licensed HVAC specialist. We did that and were told that the furnace was in excellent condition and the rust was normal for this type of unit. When I reported this to you, your response was skeptical and you advised that if I could not get the unit replaced, I should at least obtain a home warranty. One week prior to settlement, the furnace failed, CO levels in the house were off the charts and the problem turned out to be a cracked heat exchanger. The sellers were wonderful and installed an equivalent unit completely at their expense.
