About Me:

I am an Oregon Native and Bend local for 27 years. I was raised on a family farm, my father being the fourth generation Ropp to own and work the land. I attended Southern Oregon University in Ashland, Oregon where I studied Criminology and the Culinary Arts. I have a passion for great foods and learning the law. Durring my college years I spent most of my time in the kitchen learning old world techniques, and some time studying international law.

I live an active lifestyle, and where else better to do it than Central Oregon. I am an avid skier, and downhill raced for Mountain View durring my high school years. My other passions include backpacking, hiking, camping, mountain biking, riding my dirt bike and reading a good book. On any given evening you can find me walking the numerous trails at Shevlin Park with my trusty lab Omar (Named after the infamous Omars Restaurant and Bar in Ashland, Oregon).

Areas of Expertise

My areas of expertise are endless. However, I specialize in Relocation Services, first time home buyers, investment properties, short sales, foreclosures, vacant land and the smaller local builders who prefer to build a nice custom home. In the mid to late 1990's I worked with a local builder who taught me a lot about the building trade. I learned how to swing a hammer, frame a wall and sheet a roof among other things.

Through RE/MAX I have a vast Global Referral Network at my fingertips. I can assist in the sale of a home in most areas of the world. I am licensed to sell real estate anywhere in Oregon and I have been known to travel around the state helping buyers and sellers with their next move. If you are in the market to buy or sell a home, I would strongly recommend using the expertise of John Ropp of Century 21. John made my home-buying experiences hassle-free endeavors. With my busy work schedule, it was difficult to find the time to review the houses of interest on the market. John understood what I was looking for and presented me with only the houses that met my requirements. The Several occasions that I have sought John's help, my requirements have been different. Being new to the Bend area and working full time made purchasing a new home a stressful task.
