I am very active with the Saint Martin's Alumni Association. I was elected to the Alumni Board in 2004 and am currently serving my third year as Vice-President of the Association. I was also appointed by Governor Christine Gregoire in 2006 to serve a one-year term on the Higher Education Coordinating Board.
I have been a volunteer with SE Thurston Fire and EMS since 1999. I completed the Thurston County Fire Recruit School in 2000, and earned my EMT Certification in 2001. I still maintain my EMT certification, and I was elected to the office of Fire Commissioner in November 2007 for a term beginning in 2008.
In addition I am an Associate with the Robert J Bryan American Inn of Court in Tacoma. I began serving with the Inn in 2006 and continue my involvement today. American Inns of Court are designed to improve the skills, professionalism and ethics of the bench and bar. An American Inn of Court is a blend of judges, lawyers, and in some cases, law professors and law students. Each Inn meets approximately once a month to hold programs and discussions on matters of ethics, skills and professionalism.
My firm, Connolly Tacon & Meserve, is proud to be a participant in the American Cancer Societies Relay for Life. This year I would like to dedicate my participation to my mother Mary who lost the fight to cancer in January of 2004.
