About Us:

I've lived in the Sumter area since 1991, when my husband and I were transferred from Germany to Shaw Air Force Base.  I retired after 20 years of service in 1998 and we stayed in Sumter because we love it there. 

I have completed the Graduate Realtor® Institute (GRI) course, which is 96 hours of advanced training in real estate listing, sales, contracts, and many other topics including environmental issues.  I also completed the e-Pro course and am an Accredited Buyer Representative.

I'm a member of our local community concert band; I play in the percussion section (although I started out in the flute section).  I'm taking dance lessons (no, really!) and have performed in several recitals.  In my case, it's kind of like the dancing bear -- it's not that it's done well, it's that it's done at all!  Our class is made of (mostly) women of a certain age, and we have a blast. I've also been taking Zumba classes for over a year, and while I haven't actually lost any weight I now know how to salsa.

If you're coming to the Sumter area, I'd be glad to tell you what it has to offer.  Sumter is growing but has not lost its small-town charm.

Areas of Expertise

I've helped first-time homebuyers, people traveling halfway back up north when they got tired of the Florida hurricanes, people who came south to get away from the winters, and several military folks who came here on orders.  I've enjoyed all of them; each client teaches me something about themselves, about life, and about me.  I've even conducted a trade with one couple -- I sold them a house and they gave me two kittens!  Say hello to Tank and Pumpkin!
