It had taken me over 6 years to make the decision to “let go” of the McLean home which held such fabulous memories for me and my late husband, the Hon. James D. “Mike” McKewitt (former MC).
A neighbor (recently widowed) sold her home and gave rave reviews to the Huckaby Briscoe Group. I mustered up my courage to phone the group in order to talk about listing my home and the next afternoon, enter Karen Briscoe where we spent 2 hours together in frank, upfront discussions from price range, commissions, what to expect – and WHO was going to take my late night phones calls when I became nervous! In short, we meshed, understood what was to be generally expected between listing agents, prospective purchasers and me, the seller. Needless to say, I did not phone any other Real Estate firms as it was not necessary and my instincts were absolutely correct regarding Karen.
It was approximately 6 days after listing my home for sale that I received a phone call from Karen late on a Friday night happily informing me we had a contract. We enjoyed breakfast early the next morning, had an opportunity to get to know one another better while ratifying the contract over many cups of coffee.
