Description
Associate broker with Remax Equity Group in Clark County, WA

About Us:

My wife, Terri, and I have been serving buyers and sellers in southwest Washington for over 25 years.  I am the branch office broker for Brio Realty.  Terri is a top producing agent for Remax.  We have lived in the Battle Ground Lake area of Clark County since the early 1970's on a small rural homestead property we have rebuilt and rennovated over the years.

We have one daughter, Katie, who is currently pursuing dual master's degrees at the University of Colorado, Boulder in Germanic Studies and Business Administration.  Last year, Summer "06, she biked across the US on a coast to coast bicycle ride for charity.  Needless to say we are very proud parents.

Areas of Expertise:

Since we have lived in rural Clark County on acreage all our adult lives we specialize in 'homes on acreage'.  We also specialize in finding homes for folks coming into our area to take advantage of Washington State's great tax climate.  Another area of focus for us has been the 'single-level' retirement homes for our friends from California and Oregon who are choosing Washington as a great place to retire.  This experience has allowed us to help our customers find great homes in all areas of SW Washington.

Testimonials:

"Worked for Us"

What a great experience we had working with Terri and Ken Eklund on our relocation to Longview! From our first meeting, we were impressed with the insight their experience brought to the table. Our budget for buying a new house was dependent on what we could sell our current residence for; Terri's careful market research made us confident our asking price was competitive. Her advice on staging our home for sale was invaluable. She cut down our "honey do" list of projects we had come up with, and helped us zero in on what buyers would really pay attention to. She even lent us her own dining room table and chairs! What else can we say? She sold our house in three days. We even had two competing offers -- one above asking price! I'm convinced that is a direct result of Terri's skill as a realtor and not a "hot" market or a "good" neighborhood. The house right down the street "for sale by owner" is, well... still for sale by owner.
When purchasing our new home, we looked at a property in Longview we wanted to put an addition onto. Terri and Ken went to the county offices to verify the septic system capacity and found it was actually recorded differently than what the sellers had believed it to be. Not only did they give us that information, they actually figured out what work would need to be done to the system to meet our requirements, how long it would take and about how much it would cost -- all invaluable information that made us decide to keep looking. As a result, we ended up with the home of our dreams, and couldn't be more excited about the move.
This is the first time we (or anyone we've ever known) have had a realtor that we felt actually worked for us. What a refreshing experience. Thank you Terri and Ken! You've restored our faith in real estate as a profession.
