We recently purchased a home in Manoa Valley. We were looking for an upscale “fixer-upper” with lots of potential, but priced within our budget. We contacted Kelly Mitchell at Prudential Locations and gave her our criteria. Where other Realtors had been unsuccessful, Kelly called us within days. She said she had found the “worst house in the best neighborhood” and we needed to get there right away. She was right! It is exactly what we were looking for. There were numerous problems maintaining contact with the sellers, negotiating a fair offer, and dealing with appraisals well below the asking price. Through all of the problems Kelly was there to represent us and make sure we closed the deal. Not only was she instrumental in capturing the house we wanted, her persistence and concerns for our investment resulted in more than $40,000 in savings to us at closing. She even offered to sit in on the signing of the title documents.
We were most impressed with Kelly’s knowledge of the property and awareness of our financial limitations. Her recommendation that we renegotiate a second offer after the appraisal came back significantly lower than the asking price, resulted in a sale that resulted in both parties being satisfied and a deal that didn’t fall through. She continued to stay engaged with us and the seller, making sure both parties were able to support the established closing date.
Kelly Mitchell has exceeded our every expectation. As we continue renovation of the property she has frequently checked back to see how we are doing.
