About Me:
Hello,
Here's the scoop on me, Kent Shelman. I got into the real estate brokerage (sales) business about four years ago. I have been a real estate appraiser since about 2001 and many of my clients and peers had suggested I would be a good at sales. They were right, I really enjoy working with home buyers and sellers! I had a great mentor early on, his name is Aaron Diem and I have been growing and learning from him and several other long time agents at Re/Max of Pueblo ever sense.
I have a long time background in residential construction, since my father is a life long carpenter and general contractor. I literally grew up in the housing business, working long hot summers and most vacation breaks to put myself through engineering school in college. At my appraisal company known as Colorado Realty Reports, I not only perform appraisals but do consulting as a Certified Home Energy Rater (HERS Rater) and Colorado Built Green Consultant. I am a big proponent of true "Green Building Practices" and help people sort out all the hype known as "Green Washing". I market homes for a couple of local builders that are very good at being green. I will represent all types of buyers and sellers, the green ones are just a passion of mine.
