A little bit about myself.

I personally think one of the best ways to get to know a person is to identify their passions. My personal passions are listening to good music, especially jazz and bluegrass, enjoying our pet Mastiffs, Henry and Sadie, and taking time to play a round of golf. I enjoy being a certified barbecue judge, and preparing and serving good barbecue to my friends.

My wife and I moved to Lake Lure in the mid 90's. We began investing in rental properties in this area. That interest in buying and selling properties lead me to a career in real estate.

Prior to real estate I've been in the restaurant business for 20 years here in North Carolina, and in Pennsylvania. The daily challenge of running a successful restaurant has given me the ability to work with people and their special needs.

Earlier this year, my wife Sandy and I decided to look for a second home in the greater Lake Lure area. Craig spent an extreme amount of time and effort to help us find the home we were looking for. This amounted to numerous hours of visiting property when we were in the area, as well as a concentrated effort of phone calls, emails and website searches.

When we finally determined what is was that we were looking for in a second home, Craig knew and defined our needs as a home that had an "away from home" or vacation feeling. After viewing the Lake Lure area we expanded our search to include a greater or expanded area. Craig did this for us including the Tryon/Columbus Polk County area. He was able to preview all of the homes we were interested in within this larger search area. Craig had shown us a home on White Oak Mountain in the Columbus area. While the seller was not the easiest person in the world to bargain with, Craig handled all of the negotiations, inspections, etc., much to our satisfaction. Closing and all details were handled on both a professional and timely basis.
