About Lane Realty and Tammy Lankford
Lane Realty has been selling property on Lake Sinclair since 1985. I started to work for Jim Lane in 1992 ( I was the secretary and did not have my license yet). I was bored to tears in the office all day and the agents were having all the fun. In the summer of 1994 I got my license and in 1995 purchased the company. Eatonton is my hometown, I was born and raised here and have played on Lake Sinclair all my life. My great uncle used to own a bait and tackle shop right across the street from the power plant. There are some great things about Lake Sinclair you should know... it stays full even in drought situations. There are dams at both ends of Lake Sinclair. The north dam connects to another lake built as a "holding tank" to keep Lake Sinclair at full pool. The power company moves about 1 to 2 feet of water back and forth on a daily basis through this dam.
I love Lake Sinclair and invite you to come visit and get to know it and I'm sure you will love it too. And no doubt if you buy here you will have great neighbors and friends. about me I was born right here in Eatonton and have lived here all my life. I have 7 generations buried in the local cemetery so when I say I'm from Eatonton, literally my family has lived in this area for more than 200 years. I know the area, know the lake, know most of your neighbors and will tell you the good and the bad things about things in these parts. I didn't really choose a career in real estate, it sort of found me. I couldn't be happier.
