After studying Business at AuburnUniversity in Alabama, Lane Rogers and his wife, Patricia Zars, returned to Patricia's home city of San Antonio, Texas. 

Lane Rogers has served the San Antonio real estate market for nearly 9 years.  After spending 3 years as an agent with Prudential Real Estate and Century 21, Lane Rogers obtained his Broker's License in 2004 and left the real estate franchise arena to open an independant & individual real estate company.  Over the next few years Lane also developed specialized divisions for New Construction Homes as well as Apartments.  In 2008, LaneRogers REALTORS®  was transformed into Zars & Rogers REALTORS®  to serve & offer customized service to the entire San Antonio real estate market.

  • Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB) Candidate - The CRB designation is one of the oldest, most respected and relevant designations offered in real estate business management.  Members are among the most efficient, effective and profitable managers in the country.  It is reserved for only the most dedicated conscientious and highly skilled Managers.  Less than half of 1% of REALTORS® nationwide have earned this esteemed designation.
  • Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) - To earn the CRS Designation, REALTORS® must demonstrate outstanding professional achievements — including high-volume sales, complete advanced training in areas such as finance, marketing and technology, and have demonstrated professional expertise in the field of residential real estate. Fewer than 3% of REALTORS® nationwide have earned the credential.
  • Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI) - The GRI designation is a mark of distinction that earns REALTORS® respect and confidence from their peers and the general public, demonstrating their commitment to advancing their knowledge in many aspects of the real estate profession.
  • e-PRO -  e-PRO Internet Professionals are REALTORS® who have completed a rigorous certification program endorsed by the prestigious National Association of REALTORS®.  The e-PRO certification signifies that the REALTOR® has the knowledge and skills to put the power of the Internet behind your real estate transaction. 
  • Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist (RSPS) - The RSPS certfication is given to REALTORS® who have the knowledge & training to facilitate the buying, selling, or management of properties for investment, development, retirement, or second homes in a resort, recreational and/or vacation destination.
  • Short Sale & Foreclosure Resource Certification (SFR) - Knowing how to help sellers maneuver the complexities of short sales as well as help buyers pursue short sale and foreclosure opportunities are not merely good skills to have in today's market-they are critical.  REALTORS® with the SFR certification can be a trusted resource for short sales and foreclosures. 

  • Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) - REALTORS® who earn the SRES designation from the National Association of REALTORS® have demonstrated necessary knowledge and expertise to council clients age 55-plus through major financial and lifestyle transitions involved in relocating, refinancing, or selling a family home.

Patricia Zars, BBA

A San Antonio native, Patricia Zars grew up in Alamo Heights and North San Antonio before moving out of state.  She finished high school in Alabama (where she met her husband to be...Lane Rogers) & then attended Auburn University.  After studying business there for several years, she & Lane returned to her home, San Antonio, and she completed her degree with a B.A. in Business Marketing from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Coming from a family of entrepreneurs & business owners, it was a natural progression for Patricia to dive right into the family swimming pool business.  After a few years, she decided to step out on her own & pursue a career in real estate...the field which her husband was already in.  In the summer of 2003, armed with her entrepreneurial spirit, her degree & a lot of drive, she decided on a position in New Home Sales with Newmark Homes.  Over the next 5 years, she excelled in sales & won numerous awards, including the prestigious Million Dollar Circle Award for sales exceeding $10 million in 2006.

In early 2007, she obtained her Real Estate Sales Person license & left Newmark Homes with plans to join her husband (who was now a Real Estate Broker) in the real estate company they had co-founded together in 2004.  However, after leaving Newmark Homes, she was offered a position with McMillin Homes with the opportunity to solely run a new community in a great area.  She accepted & over the next 3 years she continued to produce high sales numbers & deliver exceptional customer service. 

With nearly $65 million in home sales & over 8 years experience under her belt, as well as tons of great relationships that had been created with customers over the years, Patricia decided in May of 2011 to finally make the move to general real estate & join Lane in their company, Zars & Rogers REALTORS®.  Patricia has also completed the extensive Broker's licensing requirements & plans to take the exam & obtain her Broker's License in 2011.
