About Me:
I am a lifelong resident of Santa Ana. I graduated from California State University Fullerton with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. Although I found the field fascinating, my options were limited because I had young children at the time. I found that a career as a real estate consultant was ideal. I have been licensed since 2001 and have been at Seven Gables Real Estate ever since. I have successfully worked through both sellers' and buyers' markets.
I have made a conscious decision to run my business differently than traditional real estate agents. Rather than to rush you into a home that may or may not fit your needs, I carefully listen to you to learn what is really important to you in a home. My goal is to provide an experience that my clients are anxious to share with coworkers, family and friends. Not surprisingly, the majority of my business comes from referrals and past clients.
When I was a kid, I recall my parents had less than ideal treatment from their realtors. I am fluent in Spanish and find working with Spanish speakers especially gratifying. I know I am taking excellent care of them and treat them with the kindness and respect they deserve.
Also, know that I am authentic in everything I say. I am diplomatic, but I tell the truth, even when my client doesn't want to hear it.
My husband Javier and I still live in the first home we purchased. We are both active in our community. I sit on the Board of Directors for the Washington Square Neighborhood Association. Washington Square is is a charming neighborhood in North Santa Ana with an old world feel. Our oldest son is pursuing a career in architecture while our youngest is finishing his freshman year in high school at Mater Dei.

I have had the honor of knowing Laura for approximately five years and when I recently made the decision to purchase a home, I knew Laura was the perfect agent to represent my real estate needs.
Laura is very personable, yet maintains a high level of professionalism. She is quite knowledgeable of the local real estate market, as well as statewide and national markets. One of her best qualities is maintaining constant communication with her clients. She answered all of my questions promptly via cell phone, email, as well as in person. I always felt assured throughout the entire home buying process because Laura explained every aspect thoroughly and answered all of my questions from the making of an offer, through escrow, to the final close of sale.
I was also impressed with Laura's ability to negotiate. She always had my best interest in mind and was very forthright in dealing with the seller's agent. Due to Laura's expertise, the seller had agreed to pay all closing costs. The seller's agent had also commented to me how impressed he was with Laura's "know-how" of the real estate market and its handlings of even the most difficult sales. He claimed that Laura had "schooled" him on a few real estate issues that he himself was not aware of. Laura was also present during the house inspection and made sure that the inspector did his job thoroughly. A final note was when Laura herself inspected the outside of the home and had noticed that a wood-filler was used on a piece of termite-damaged wood instead of being completely replaced. After calling the termite company, they could not replace the wood, so Laura had negotiated that I receive financial credit for their error.
