About Laurel

Laurel Stone teaches pre-license sales and broker classes in NE WI.  In 2009, she began an affilitation with Continuing Ed Express and now has available through her website, Laurel Stone School of Real Estate, online pre-license and continuing education courses for many states throughout the country.  Additionally, she authors the courses for Wisonsin licensees.  

Since 1977, Laurel, in addition to selling homes, was active in various aspects of real estate, including attending Real Estate Exchange and Marketing Sessions in Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C.,  owning and operating her own real estate company where she specialized in buyer agency for investors and managing properties in downtown York, PA.  During this time, she joined Toastmasters International which led to numerous public speaking engagements and ultimately was the catalyst that inspired her to begin her teaching career.   She instructed a property management course at Penn State University, York Campus, served on community boards such as Historic York and in 1979 was a participant of Leadership York, a program to prepare men and women for volunteer leadership positions in their community.

Upon relocating to Wisconsin in 1984, she began teaching part time at Fox Valley Technical College along with working for a property management company and assisting an independent appraiser. Eventually, she returned to real estate sales and subsequently was an assistant manager of a residential real estate office.  In 1991, she focused on full time teaching of prelicense and CE classes first with ABC School of Real Estate and then in 2003 with the Laurel Stone School of Real Estate. 

On personal note, Laurel has two daughters, Candace and Sharon, both living in Pennsylvania. Candace has a son Kyle, and a daughter, Miranda. Sharon has a son, Zachary, and a daughter, Samantha.

After doing the video tapes and taking the test for the second time, I called Laurel in tears and asked her if I could come to her class.
