"Last July you did a house inspection for us and at that time recommended we purchase a carbon monoxide detector to place in a low area in our dining/living room area. We followed your advise and we want to thank you because you saved our lives.
Last week we had a few high readings on the carbon monoxide detector. My husband changed the batteries thinking they were low. After a complete check of any possible gas leak, the problem was our electric golf cart which was charging in the garage. Apparently, this has happened before as the gas company said they have had the fire department out on calls when they could not detect the source of the carbon monoxide. The source was the charging battery in an enclosed garage forming carbon monoxide.
