Testimonials

To Whom It May Concern:

I would like to take this opportunity to recommend Elizabeth Collins to assist you in either the new purchase of a home or in the selling of home.  We had attempted to sell by owner for 7 months before deciding to list our home with a realtor.  We had open houses every weekend of those 7 months and took the time out of our busy schedules to be at home for those four hours each Saturday and Sunday.  We waited, and waited, and waited for that perfect buyer, but we ran out of time because our new home was done being built out of state-in Arizona.       Elizabeth came through one of our open houses at the beginning of our attempt to sell by owner.  She was helpful and offered a few ideas to help in the sale of our home.  When we finally decided we had to seek professional assistance, she was there to assist us in so much more than the sale of a home.  I had already moved to Arizona and left my husband and three children back in Downers Grove, Illinois.  She went above and beyond in the marketing of our home.  We were trying to sell in the worse of times with the market on the downslide and it being a "Buyers Market". We were contacted before each "showing" and followed up with after she had feedback from the potential buyer's realtor.  She was there to encourage and support us, as well as to look at the situation from a consumer's point of view.      We listed our home in May, had an contract in July, and closed in August.  As I look back, I am sorry we did not hire her sooner, because we wasted money in advertising, and time we could have spent with our friends before moving.  She is such a determined woman and truely got us the most money for our home.  She lessened the stress that you experience when you are going through the sale of a home and actually became a welcomed friend by the end of the sale.      I welcome anyone that has any further questions to call me.        Sincerely,       L. Kedzie

Hosting Open Houses Works!!!

On Jan. 13th, I had the pleasure of opening up River Woods in Naperville.  While there, I met a lovely elder couple from the NJ/PA area but have lived here for over 30 years.  In talking with them I also learned that they were out looking for their son who will be moving back into the area from Singapore.  (They mentioned that their son was working with an agent!)  They liked River Woods but had some concerns and so I handed them one of our Tour Guides that I had brought with me and they agreed that they would go and take a look at our listing on Clyde in Naperville

I went on to help them merely from a "ministerial standpoint" and ran comps for the couple.  I also stated that moving forward if their son would be interested in the property on Clyde that he and his agent would need to speak with the listing agent directly and proceeded to provide the listing agent's contact info.

My understanding is there is an offer on the table and I hope that both parties will be able to come to terms and be amicable with the outcome.

Moral:  I am thrilled with our open house system as I have seen first hand how effective it is!!!

A few weeks ago, Liz was hosting an open house at 2406 River Woods in Naperville where she encountered a couple already working with an agent.  The home at River Woods didn't work for them, but Liz had the foresight to give them the Tour Sheet, of which 1928 Clyde in Naperville was listed as open that day as well.  The couple did visit Clyde that day, and ended up making an offer on it after last weekend's open house there.

Liz didn't have much to gain here, other than doing the right thing for her teammates.  This couple, most likely, would have never visited Clyde and never made an offer if not for her efforts.  The Tour sheet gets them in the RIGHT HOUSE...

I think we all can learn from this example of what being a teammate is all about.  Great job, Liz!!!!!!!

We talk a lot about teamwork, and I know it's a bit of an abstract concept in real estate.
It's one of those things that "I know it when I see it."

Well, I just saw it!

The listing agent just received a contract on 2406 River Woods in Naperville.  The buyers for this property had visited an open house a few weeks ago that was hosted by Liz Collins.  The buyers already had realtor representation, so Liz had absolutely no personal gain at stake here.  However, she utilized the Open House Tour sheet anyway - buyers also visited 1928 Clyde in Naperville as well as 1394 Gartner in Naperville.  We had 3 properties in their price range, and Liz made sure they saw them all.  They actually made an offer on Clyde that was subsequently turned down by Relocation, but eventually came back and bought River Woods.  This scenario happened EXACTLY as it was designed to.  Like any tool, however, it was only as good as Liz's utilization of it.

Obviously, I know the listing agent is very thankful for Liz's effort.

... a wonderful teammate and really going above and beyond what she "was required to do." ..
.
It makes me extremely proud to say she is part of what we are trying to accomplish here at Weichert in Illinois.

Great job!
