Knowledge and Experience
Applying the valueable knowledge gained through personal experience is a benefit realized by all clients I have worked with since becoming a licensed Realtor five thrilling years ago. A major focus of mine has been to diligently study both the Mortgage Industry and Real Estate Industry to better understand the complexities involved. It is through this in-depth knowledge that clients receive true benefit. Sellers I represent benefit from knowing that the offer pending is looked at through critical eyes, in terms of the ability of the buyer to obtain their loan and the likelyhood of closing successfully.
Continued education, mentoring and self study are all critical to the client experience and something I embrace with both time and funds. I enjoy spending time learning, to help myself become the highest level of me that I can become. It allows me to provide such a rich experience for both buyers and sellers. Whether I am representing a seller of a Plaza Home, or a buyer of a Carson Park Home the goal is to provide such outstanding service that I have earned their respect and they become a client for life.
I have found that my clients tend to be open, honest, realistic people that have a dream and a purpose. Our lives are complicated and busy enough without the drama that can sometimes be associated with buying or selling a home. Clients are not deprived of the emotion that comes with homeownership but appreciate limiting the unnecessary drama. Hearing from clients how their expectations were surpassed and that the transaction was "much less stressful than we expected" is always the goal.
Let others relate their "Horror Stories" while you sit back and recall the excellent communication, professional negotiating, and attention to detail that you received and still enjoy. That is, unless you like the stress and drama. If that is the case I can refer you to an endless variety of agents that seem to specialize in it.
My team has been helping families, both first time buyers as well as those interested in "moving up", realize their dreams in and around the Long Beach/Lakewood area for five exciting years. When asked what they most appreciate about these services typical comments are "Your communication is second to none," and "You respect and saved us so much time, which is truly precious to our family."
My team currently serves southern Los Angeles County and Northern Orange County specializing in the communities of Long Beach, Lakewood, Cerritos, Bellflower, Cypress, Buena Park, Los Alamitos, Rossmoor, Seal Beach and Huntington Beach.
I am a member of the California Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, and the Southern California Multiple Listing Service. E-Pro certified.
Areas of Expertise
Having grown up in Long Beach, and purchasing my first home in Lakewood ( Carson Park ), I have intimate knowledge of both cities - which areas are up and coming, which areas are in decline. By consulting with the Redevelopment Departments often, knowledge is gained that is vital to keeping my finger on the pulse of the two cities. It really helps to review the long range plans and goals of both Lakewood and Long Beach. You, as a client, recieve the latest insight into the investment you are considering - and the importance of that kind of information cannot be overstated. You are able to make your decisions from a position of reliable information and accurate insight.
Since the statistical average for people moving is every 5-7 years it is important for all clients to know what their neighborhood will be like in 5 years so that when it's time to sell they will be able to realize their full appreciation potential. Stable areas, such as Plaza Homes, provide ideal locations to raise your family while building equity. This is where the "wealth building" begins, making good decisions based on sound facts.
I bought my first home in the city of Lakewood. In fact, one side of the street was Long Beach and the other side was Lakewood. I love the bedroom community that Lakewood has become known as. It is full of lovely tree lined streets, well kept homes and has a real family feel. The same can be said for the city of Cypress where I currently reside in one of the lovely Fairway Park homes. Cypress borders Long Beach and Lakewood, just a little farther east. With the refreshing ocean breeze, easy access to anywhere in the Southland and stable home values the Long Beach / Lakewood area is a great place to put down your roots.

True Stories
One of the most recent stories, and one of my favorites, involves a young couple that share an interest in photography. In fact they met through a photography club. Tammy and Michael have been together for about two years, building their new life together.
Tammy's brother referred her to me and we quickly found working together to be an excellent fit, very important when considering who will consult with you, negotiate for you, and oversee the transactional details.. After searching and discovering "the perfect house" in the Carson Park area of Lakewood they submitted an offer. The problem was three other people felt that this was "the perfect house" also, and submitted their own offers. Now, mind you, this is in a "down" market. The home had been on the market only seven days and had received four offers.
When I submit an offer it is done a little differently than alot of Realtors. I present all offers in person, when possible. In this case Tammy met with us at the property so the seller's could put a face with a name. Being the caring person she is Tammy even brought a plate of home made chocolate chip cookies.
When I called Tammy to let her know they had received a counter offer (as had the others) she was decisive and that allowed us to get back to the seller's agent quickly. I phoned Tammy a short time later to tell her that they were not the highest offer - BUT THEY GOT THE HOUSE ANYWAY. She went into the living room crying. Michael asked her what was wrong and she said "NOTHING, nothing is wrong. We got the house." She thanked me for the work and time put into a proper presentation saying "You are such a huge part of why we got the property, I can't thank you enough." The joy in her voice and on her face fills my memories. It was AWESOME. Don't you love it when a plan comes together. I'm not sure where the quote comes from but it's true - "The harder I work the luckier I get." Ponder that for a bit.
