Scott Loper (Associate Broker) - Scott's primary function is to understand each client's unique goals and needs and then direct the team's activities in order to achieve those objectives.  He is the team's primary salesperson and advises client's throughout the buying/selling process.  Scott is a graduate of Drexel University and has been a licensed Realtor® since 1998.  He earned his Associate Broker's License in 2007.   For 2005, 2007, and 2008, Scott was the top producing agent at RE/MAX Realty Group.  He also served on the Boards of Directors for the Montgomery County and Pennsylvania Associations of Realtors in 2007 and 2008.

Re/Max Realty Group - Conshohocken PAGina Wherry (Sales Associate) - Gina joined the Scott Loper Team in October 2010.  Gina obtained her real estate license in 2006 and worked at Coldwell Banker where she received many awards.  Gina works with both buyers and sellers and has a vast knowledge of Philadelphia.  Gina is a graduate of Temple University and Harcum College, an avid Ultimate Frisbee player and oversees patron services at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts during the summer months.

Lisa Loper (Sales Associate) - Lisa manages the team's systems and strategies and handles the details of each transaction.  Lisa's primary responsibility is to assure that each of the many steps in a real estate transaction are properly completed in a timely manner.  Lisa is in regular contact with our clients to keep them informed about their home search, listing, or pending settlement.  Lisa is a graduate of Villanova University and obtained her real estate license in 2003.

Gina,

We first met Gina Wherry in July of 2008. Her name and number were on a sign outside of a home we drove by and were interested in looking at. Mind you, it was late in the afternoon on a Saturday, and we never anticipated getting in to see the house that evening, let alone getting her on the phone. Most times, you call the number on the sign and get someone’s voice mail. But we connected, and she rearranged a few things and met us at the home at 7:30PM. The home, turned out, was not everything we were looking for, and Gina took the opportunity to interview us and actually wrote down everything that was important to us, as well as noting the points we were concerned about. We lived in Brooklyn, NY, so we anticipated coordinating a new home search two states away was going to be difficult. But connecting with Gina was the key to making our search a success. Because she was so careful and attentive, she was able to produce for us detailed lists of potential homes to look at. Gina was always in communication with us. We spent numerous weekends driving out to PA (with our dog in tow!I) to meet with Gina, and with an extraordinary amount of patience, she would take us through 7 -10 houses each visit. Now, Gina will admit that we are very picky and have exceptionally high expectations of any home we purchased, but she plugged right along with us and exhibited nothing but patience and sincere attention to us. We went through two different negotiations, one of which resulted in the successful purchase of our current home, and Gina held our hand and dispensed good, solid advice every step of the way. She never interjected her personal opinions and remained a consummate professional throughout every interaction. At the end of the day, my husband and I are now living in the home of our dreams, and we could not have gotten here without Gina’s direction and support. So, our advice for first-time home buyers:

1. Work with an agent you feel comfortable communicating with.

2. Know what you want and don’t want in a home and communicate that to your agent. It will make the process easier for all of you.0

3. Research the areas you are looking to move to in detail. Know where the water treatment plants, industrial parks, above ground electrical wires, and recycling areas are. You don’t want to buy a house near any of these!

4. Know your credit score and if there are any blemishes on your credit, clean them up right away. You don’t want any surprises when you finally do apply for a mortgage.

5. When looking at a house, trust your nose – if you smell something that does not smell right, chances are, it’s not.

6. Don’t buy emotionally. You must always keep a clear, level-head throughout the entire process, or you will set yourself up for disappointment constantly.

7. Ask lots of questions, even if you think they are silly. You are about to make a HUGE investment!
