About Us:

Just a short time ago, Clarksville, TN was a community that was almost written off by the federal government. But the world changed course and the government decided to pump funds into Fort Campbell, Ky and Clarksville, TN. Of course the community has grown leaps and bounds since. Clarksville is a transient and very diverse society. Making this a wonderful cross cultural and economic community. And living here during the past fourteen plus years we've seen many changes and are excited about our continuing growth. This comes however, by planning and hard work by so many in the area. Where would we all be without the dedication and hard work of those that came before us? So when you   think about all that we have here, don't forget the people. Without the people, there would be nothing.

In 1981 and 1982 I was here with my parents. No mall, no massive choices of where to dine. And 1986 to 1989 my husband Shaun was a Rakkasan with the 187th at Fort Campbel, KY. My family and I have made Clarksville, TN our home (this time) since 1999. With over 25 years in the Army as Infantry, Ranger, Special Ops and numerous duty stations, he recently let me know he can stay in ~ for....29+ years ~   to be continued... Some say it's a hard life, the military life. It's a good life, an interesting life we live. We have four great kids and four  beautiful grandchildren. With our children, we have gotten to know so many and have learned so much. The two youngest, really enjoyed scouting and now sports. Volunteering with our children and military families we are able to give back to so many. There are so many wonderful organization's that need our help. Please look inside yourself and do what you can. Everyone has a specialty. You will see and feel the rewards.

Areas of Expertise

I started in Personal and Commercial Banking in 1986 and in the Mortgage Industry in 1989. I also have experience working with Trusts ~ Living, Irrevocable, Insurance etc. and Assisting Income Tax Professionals. During a brief lay off     in WI (husband was drafted as a recruiter) I decided Unemployment was BORING. I heard Wal~Mart was hiring. And off     I went. I worked as a Stocker for a very short period of time. Then went on to manage two departments for a year. I used my skills and had award winning sales throughout Wisconsin. I got to know and worked with great people. Everyone goes to Wal~Mart. You really learn about the people, their needs and the needs of the community. And I am am a much better person because of the experience.

The average mortgage shopper jumps on the internet and chooses one of the first three companies the search engine pulls up. I've often wondered how it is the same person will get a second opinion on a life altering surgical procedure.  This same person will also shop at their local grocery store and search out the best pricing on milk and the essentials    for a savings on the average of $20.00 week after week. I believe it is because the average person chooses not to conceive the numbers involved are real.

Pre-Approval is quite frankly the best way to shop. It is essential for your physical and financial well being (after all, with financial security comes less worry - better health) to start with a loan officer and a company you can trust. With all the bad press and horrible scenario's we have been inundated with, How do you know? How long has the loan officer been in business? Is the loan officer and/or company one that was referred to you? Talk to the loan officer.

My job is to explain the options available and the terms of each one. Unless you have been living under a rock, you  know rates are still quite low. However, when "shopping rates", be sure you "shop costs" as well. Knowing the difference between your "rate" and "APR" can make or break your loan file. Costs on a file are determined by the loan type and where your prospective property is located. We give the best rates available to us at the time of the quote. And do not charge more than we are billed for costs. If you're already working with another mortgage company, ask how mortgage interest rates are determined. If they don't know the answer, call us! Also another factor the average mortgage shopper is unaware of.

We know the City of Clarksville and Surrounding Area's quite well. Again, you get to know the people and the community by living and working in it.  This includes many homeowners, agent's, builder's, insurance, bookkeeping, accounting and attorney/title closing companies. More than likely, this is one of the largest and most important financial transactions you will ever make. You might do this only four or five times in your entire life... but we do this every single day. It's your home and your future. It's our profession and our passion.
