My interest in Renewable Energy, Energy Efficient Products and Green Building has grown throughout the past year. During 2007 I  had the good fortune to meet many interesting people who promote energy efficiency in building and renewable energy.  One of those people was Allan O'Shea with Contractor's Building Supply. Allan and I had several conversations about renewable energy and expressed a mutual desire to bring products into the mainstream. Well, one thing led to another and Allan popped the question, "Why don't you come work with me and help me in my endeavor?"

I accepted and joined forces with the AWESOME staff at Contractor's Building Supply. Allan is a wealth of knowledge having been in renewable energy for 30+ years. In 1974, Allan was the original founder and first president of the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) still in existance and going strong today. Allan has worked very hard over the years from Lansing to Washington and around the US promoting renewables and policies that will be good for all.

Contractor's Building Supply is a master distributor of thermolock windows, solar hot water, solar photovoltaics and small wind energy systems. With a full support staff including an in house engineer we are able to design, deliver and install a system for you or your client.

I look forward to meeting many new people as I develop a network of dealers who are looking for new, cutting edge products to add to their business model! New dealers are always embraced!

The name "Ma" Bigelow has become my nick-name throughout my mortgage career which began in 2003. Just call MOM - Mother of Mortgages - has been my slogan for a long time. I love to care for my clients, realtors and builders as if they were my own kids...the kind of care only a Mother can give!

I am a professional student -- of life and of my industry. I yearn for information about my industry...this is one of the many reasons I have decided on blogging. There is so much I have to share with others -- and still more to learn -- about real estate and finances. The focus on my current research and learning is how the GREEN building industry and Hi Performance Homes can benefit the lives of homeowners.

 I have met far too many people who get into the mortgage industry because it is "fun and easy". Yes, I definitely find "fun" where ever I go but I disagree that it is easy. Especially in today's environment... I hear far too many sad stories. On the other hand, there are many good stories also, and I have helped facilitate many of them. 

My Mom always told me I was a "helper" and that is how I see myself. There is nothing more satisfying than helping someone out of a bad situation or helping them into their first home, their second "move up" home, their vacation property or an investment property. Mortgages are not "one size fits all". Through the process of getting to know you and your future ambitions, needs and wants I am able to find the perfect product for you.

In today's lending environment things change weekly, daily, sometimes hourly. A professional will do their best to keep up with the changes. I feel by aligning myself with people from different facets of the industry and different sectors of the country I will be able to stay on top of what is going on and also to help disseminate information to others. That is my primary reason for joining the AR community.
