Description

My specialty is new construction, Built Green and eco friendly design. With a background in construction and remodeling , I enjoy educating clients about sustainable design & renewable energy.

My Background:

I have been a full-time licensed Realtor since 1999. I earned my CRS designation 5 years ago and  I also hold the CNHS (Certified New Home Specialist) designation as well as the EcoBroker designation. I am constantly working to improve and update my knowledge through my peers and education.

Prior to my career in real estate, I worked as a space planner/ designer with Herman Miller. My Husband is a local contractor, together we have seen the up's and downs of speculative housing and residential remodels. As the daughter of an architect, I grew up surrounded with a love for building and design. I have always been drawn toward sustainable materials and design. I would love to live off-grid, my goal is to harness wind power by installing a turbine within the next few years.

I am third-generation Alaskan, my childhood was spent flying, fishing and hiking in remote areas of Alaska.

I graduated with a degree in Industrial Design in 1994. I have 3 children, 3 goats, 42 chickens and 2 dogs. I love to ski - be it downhill, backcountry or nordic. Someday I hope to get my private pilot's license and be a really good cyclist!

Areas of Expertise

My area of expertise is in residential new home construction. I like to be involved in the construction process, my husband an I have built several homes as general contractor and I understand most aspects of construction from the ground up. I try to promote eco-friendly and sustainable building products and procedures. I like to work with builders that share the same beliefs in sustainability that I hold.
