My name is Malou van Eijk, I love the mountains and have lived in Colorado for 20+ years in the Evergreen and Golden areas. I look forward to working for you.

About Us:

My name is Malou van Eijk and I moved to Vail, Colorado after college with my car packed and from having grown up in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1986. I attended Appalachian State University before finishing my degrees in Marketing, Information Systems and Hotel, Restaurant and Resort Management.  I worked with Marriott International in Vail and Denver for 15 years with the executive committees.  I enjoy all of the gifts that Colorado has to offer and try to "get away" to the mountains in my spare time.

I worked in hospitality managment for many years before I settled on real estate. One day I realized that both of my passions (entrepreneurship and homes) could be covered in this field. I now live in Genesee, Colorado a "hidden gem" and have an extensive knowledge of the Foothills and Denver Metro area. Although I am  located in the footills, I have bought and sold homes throughout the Denver Metro area and suburbs.

I offer exceptional customer service throughout the home buying and/or selling process. I ensure a smooth transaction every time. Having worked with first-time home buyers as well as seasoned veterans, I always cater my service to your specific needs. As a frequent home buyer/seller (7 in the last 16 years) I have had the opportunity to work with many different brokers/agents. But by far the best experience I have had is working with Malou van Eijk.

Malou has brought a new meaning to the word service. My experience with her started with conversations on what I was looking for in a new home and what my expectations were for both price and timing in selling my old home. She is a great listener, and better yet has the ability to actualize and conceptualize what she heard, putting together a great marketing strategy for selling my old home complete with time line and examples of marketing materials.

She has the ability to brain storm with you, coming up with innovative solutions that are all focused on getting the best price in the best time frame. Needless to say, my house was on the market less than three weeks, in a market where the typical home is listed for 6 - 8 months. She was in touch with me on a daily basis, letting me know who had seen the home, what their comments were and what would be happening over the next several days. From the beginning to end, the experience was professional, service orientated and for once, enjoyable.

Malou also helped me find a new home. We looked at many homes in neighborhoods I had selected. Her great sense of humor and experience in renovations helped me see the "bone structure" of some of the homes, letting me visualize what could be. Once we found a home, and put in an offer, the service level from Malou increased.  The  adverse relationship with my other broker/agent experiences.

She was there during the many visits I made to the home before closing, she was there during inspection, she was in touch with the seller and seller agent many times during this process, making sure the items identified during inspections were completed to my satisfaction. She also put me in touch with the right contractors, and craftsman to complete the renovations before moving. Now the process is over, Malou is still in touch, checking in with me to make sure everything is as I expected.
