About Us:
In the spring of 1984, Don and Marilyn Sutherland established Marathon Constructors. Over the years as a general contractor, Marathon Constructors participated in many residential and commercial projects. In 1998 we changed track from contracting to inspecting. Don aquired his certifications through the ICBO which in 2000 became the ICC, the International Code Council. His certifications include Building Inspector and Combination Dwelling Inspector. Additionally he is recognized by AHFC ( Alaska Housing Finance Corporation) and FHA-HUD to perform inspections. He's been a member of (ABSN) Alaska Building Science Network for over ten years and a member of (ASHI) American Society of Home Inspectors for over four years. He's completed more than 200 home and commercial building inspections, and more than 200 code compliance inspections. Don has Alaska State registration #116.
