Hi, My name is Maria Secor and I am the Branch Manager and Senior Loan officer with Affordable Home Funding. We are able to finance in approx. 25 other states and of course Florida. We are a small office under a much larger corporation. I enjoy the fact that there is only a few of us because of the service we are able to provide. We don't ever have a co-worker problem or competition between us because we work as a team. We are always there for each other to try and figure out what is best for the client applying for a mortgage. I work very long hours because I can't relax until everything that is waiting to be done is done. I am a perfectionist to say the least when it comes to my work and my office is the same way. We are all family people with good values and something you don't hear much of these days but we are honest. Even when it comes down to us loosing the loan, we would rather that than choose to sit at the closing table with a client, having lied to them along the way and surprise them with something such as a rate increase, they need more money or that the terms aren't what we promised. Since we do go to every closing as an office rule we need to be able to look the client in the face and not feel ashamed. One more thing about work, it's very satisfying to be able to help someone move into a home or get the money out of their house to do something special when then never knew it could be possible. You would be surprised at how many are prequalified by a dead beat who ends up breaking someones heart.
Anyway, about me personally, I have two kids, a boy 19 and a girl 17. My son is in school training to be a police officer and my daughter has her schedule geared to be a doctor.
