Hello, everybody,

My name is Rita Fong and I am a bilingual real estate agent with RE/MAX REAL ESTATE TODAY in Marion, Ar., I speak Chinese (Cantonese) and English.  I joined RE/MAX in February, 2007 and it has been an exciting journey ever since.   I am a dedicated full time real estate agent for my clients in Marion, West Memphis, and Crittenden County in Arkansas.

I was asked many times about my background after I came to the States.  I would like to give you a brief history of mine when I was living in Hong Kong.  I was born and raised in Hong Kong, which is a very fast paced city like Manhattan, New York.  Doesn't it look like New York? 

I went to Roman Catholic school there, and Hong Kong was under the British Government rule until 1997, then it was given back to China.  I was working in travel industry, my clients were all from overseas like the USA, Australia, some also from Europe.  You can say I always work in people business, and very used to multi culture.  With my background of a little bit from the British rule, overseas clients, my own root as a Chinese, I am very diverse, if I do say so myself.  

I work hard for my clients, and I am privileged that I earned their trust to help them with their real estate needs, no matter sell or buy.  I don't treat anyone as a number, real estate is a people business, it takes time to learn about each other, it is a team work.  Getting referral from my clients is a high compliment from them. Go to www.ritafong.remaxarkansas.com   for easy access of home listings and useful links.

Other than working, I love to go to browse antique stores, I don't do it often though.  I enjoy outdoors when time allows.  I like to enjoy a cup of hot tea and some tasty light snacks, got that from my British influence in Hong Kong.   I like to go to bookstores, too.  I am also a CASA volunteer, http://www.crittendencountycasa.org/ It is a non-profit organization to help abused and neglected children, and I am a Court Appointed Special Advocate for the child of my case that I was appointed to.  If you are interested in being a volunteer, please feel free to contact me or visit the website.

My specialty is selecting a home that fits my client's needs and criterias by listening to them during our initial conversation, and help them to become a very satisfied home owner.  Communication is what I keep with my clients, and they seemed to appreciate it a lot.  Paying attention to details is what I do for all my clients, I know they depend on me for guidance, and they deserve to have my full attention.

What makes my job so rewarding is when I successfully helped my client through a very tough situation all the way to closing.  Their relief of anxiety, worry is all gone after it is all said and done.  It is priceless to see them smile after going through some unexpected difficult times during the transaction. 

There are times that things happened beyond our control, and it is okay.  The main thing is to solve the problem and move forward.  It is my job to make sure everything is taken care of, so my clients can move on to their next plan in life.

Buying a house was something that had never really occurred to us as a necessity.  We were absolutely content to rent our way through the next few years of our lives.  Then life happened unexpectedly.  Much to our surprise, we were going to have our first addition to our family.  Needless to say, our one bedroom townhouse wouldn't cut it. "My husband and I had been considering moving to Marion for about a year, and finally one Sunday afternoon we decided to drive over to look at open houses since we didn't know any of the realtors in the area. We met Rita Fong at one of the open houses that Re/Max had listed. She was the only realtor we saw out that day AND she was out working with an injured leg.
