Loving Annapolis

Annapolis is home to the US Naval Academy, St. Johns College, the Capital of Maryland and 534 miles of shoreline which makes the Annapolis area an ideal place for everything water from boating, fishing, crabbing, water skiing, sailing, swimming and more.

Annapolis and the Chesapeake Bay area is home to nearly 500,000 residents who enjoy many cultural activities, parks like this one, hiking trails and recreational programs. The list is endless, the opportunities are many whether one pursues them locally or heads to Washington DC or the Baltimore cultural scene.

Football and baseball fans alike are in heaven as they enjoy not just one team but two of each. The Washington Redskins football team and Washington Nationals baseball team are just up Rt 50 towards Washington DC and the Baltimore Ravens football team and the Baltimore Orioles baseball team is up Rt 97 towards Baltimore. It is hard not to catch the fever when these championship teams are so close.

Living Annapolis means you are situated right dab in the middle of the Washington DC and Baltimore MD business hub making it an ideal location for working in either metropolitan area. Bordered on one side by the Chesapeake Bay,  Annapolis offers water access with exceptional waterfront and water priviledged homes and communities. But if water is not your passion there are many other hometowns near Annapolis like Crofton, Crownsville, Davidsonville, Edgewater, Piney Orchard and South County to name a few that offer a whole different lifestyle of acreage, horses, gardens, or even golf. It is a diverse area offering many lifestyle opportunities.

So no matter where you decide to put down roots in or around Annapolis there will surely be a home and/or community that will fit your lifestyle needs.

So can you tell I have a passion for Annapolis? I do you know. I was born and raised right here in Annapolis. My grandparents and parents owned shops in downtown Annapolis. I grew up on its streets, played on its land and swam in its waters. I raised my family here as well. It is home and I am as passionate about Annapolis and all it has to offer today as I was as a child growing up.

So it seemed quite a natural fit for me to pursue that passion even further by starting my real estate career. 1992 was the magic year. It was not the best market to start a career in real estate. Interest rates were high, a recession was happening and buyers and sellers were not well....buying and selling. But. like today, I paid no attention to the news and never looked back. I have been a happy and passionate Annapolis Real Estate Agent ever since.

Never one to sit on the sidelines, I have also become a lifetime member of the Distinguished Sales Acheivement Club of Anne Arundel County and on the Board fo Directors, served as President of the Crofton Chamber of Commerce, was chair for the Anne Arundel County Association of Realtors Forms Committe, and became a Certified Residential Specialist to name a few areas I became immersed. Education is a huge part of who I am and always will be. New marketing ideas??? I'm there. Technology?? On it. New forms, disclosures??? There once again. Fair Housing, Ethics, Legislative happening. Agency???? On that too. I stay on top of market conditions, market changes and how it affects us here in Annapolis and its nearby hometowns. Real estate is local and though the national news may say one thing its what I hear and know locally that matters to each of my buyers and sellers.

Davidsonville is my hometown today but I have lived in many area in and around Annapolis. My children all live within a short drive of Annapolis too. Annapolis is my hometown and I am proud to be an Annapolitan from birth and an Annapolis Real Estate Agent since 1992.

So when you are ready to make the move in and around Annapolis Make the Move with Martha.
