I work as a broker-associate with Bay Valley Real Estate. I work primarily in San Francisco, but have also helped clients with investments in the East Bay and with high-end homes in the Atherton area on the Peninsula.
I grew up in a real estate family on Nantucket Island, Massachusetts. My grandmother founded Maury Real Estate. The company has since been sold but is now exists as The Maury People and is where my brother works as an agent. My father is a luxury home developer on Nantucket. For me, it means that I have worked around houses for most of my life.
After graduating high school on Nantucket, I attended Boston College, where I received my B.A. At BC, I met my current girlfriend who was able to recruit me to move to the Bay Area where she grew up. I have lived in the South Beach area of the San Francisco since I moved here in 2004. After working as a web designer for a year, I began working with houses again - but this time it meant dropping the hammer and getting my real estate salesperson's license.
Through November of 2006, my first full year in the business, I have closed over $12 million in sales. Recently, I took my California broker's exam and passed.
I strive to use all of my skills to help my clients when buying or selling a property - meaning using technology to market homes, analyzing charts and data to make more informed decisions, knowing faults to look for when buying homes, and making a home look best when selling it. I don't like to let things sit around. I try my best to always make things happen right away and get answers and results as soon as possible.
Currently, I write regularly on my site at www.mauryproperties.com.
