Mike is a past president of the WVAHI (www.wvahi.org) and the current legislative chairman for the organization. He has completed over 4800 fee paid inspections over the last 13 years. Mike has spent his entire working life, after Honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, in the construction industry as a Master Electrician (M06210). Six years during this time were spent as an engineer in a 270 bed JACHO accredited hospital. He has operated an Electrical construction company as general manager, supervising over fifty men in projects ranging from $30K to $1.2M. While creating and operating Integrity Home Inspections on a fulltime basis doing approximately 300 inspections per year he still finds time to participate in Church responsilbilities and grandchildrens (9) activities weekly. "Nothing has been more rewarding for me than being able to assist and protect individuals in their purchase of a new home." Mike's integrity is second to none and his knowledge of the inspection industry is superior. Industrial and commercial inspections as well as radon testing are a part of the companies offerings. Inspections are generally scheduled within three days of contact and the client recieves the report on-site. Questions are welcomed and will be answered without hesitation.
Mike's affiliations and memberships are numerous and varied. He is a regular member of the National Association of Home Inspectors and has successfully completed the NAHI CRI exam. Mike is a Charter member of the West Virginia Association of Home Inspectors and was instrumental in the creation of the State Legislation. He is a qualified member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors, an International Code Council, IRC, inspector and a West Virginia Code Official Member. Just Recently Mike completed the course of study to become NCCER certified in order to be able to teach entry level construction trades people. Areas of Expertise
If I were to say I had just one strong point I guess it would be that I have the ability to communicate with people explaining the visible truth of a situation without adding personal preference. The bulk of my education has been in the electrical field. I am a thirty year member of the IBEW, a master electrician in WV and a memeber of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors. I have had (NFPA) National Fire Protection training for safety related code issues and attend over fifty hours of home/safety and condition education offerings annually to stay abreast of industry trends. Education and experience to inspectors is as important as location is to the real-estate community and purchasers. Six yeras of hospital engineering, designing patient care areas and maintaing the facility have given me a tremendous advantage in education and experience as it relates to safety. To date I have completed over 2800 fee paid inspections using the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics for the National Association of Home Inspectors. I am comfortable with my abilities and know when to call in a professional for a condition that I do not understand. Honesty,Integrity and experience are key issues to determine when selecting the right inspector.
Thank you again for your thoroughness during our inspection. We have had three inspections prior to this and we have never experienced the detail that you went to while explain everything to us and all the tips for maintaining our new home were fantastic. Michael and Mellisa, Marietta OH
Here is your payment Mike, sorry for the delay in getting it to you. We had no idea that an inspection would cover so many things. Your explanations were so easy to understand and we really do appreciate the time you took to make sure we understood what you had found. Thanks for the tips on maintence, with this being our fist home we really need them, Grace F. Marietta OH
As a realtor I deal with many inspectors and home buyers. I am always glad when I hear my clients have chosen you as their inspector. I know that you always deal with them with utmost integrity and fairness to all parties concerned in the process. Thank you for your professionalism. MD PArkersburg WV
I just want to thank you for making the purchase of my retiremnet farm in Pennsboro last month so smooth. Buying the farm from Beijing has been a chore at best. Your documnetation and pictures have made it so much easier for me to make my decision. I would like to contact you when I get back stateside next month and maybe have you out to go over a couple of things with me. Frank R Beijing China
This may be a bit unusual Mike but I really appreciate the way you conducted yourself while you were inspecting my home for the Turners. You really seem to care about people and were very pleasant to me. As we talked on Tuesday I am moving to the assited living facility so I do not need a home inspection but please know that I will share your name with my friends who may need one. Mrs. Wheeler Belpre OH
