About Me:

I have been in the real estate industry since January 2005. Although I have learned a lot in that time, I approach each day as an opportunity to further my knowledge. I sincerely enjoy my work and I like to develop relationships with my clients that long outlast their immediate transaction. I work for an amazing company that offers tremendous support and training and I'm thankful each and every day that I chose to start my career with such a wonderful firm.

In order to "round out" my knowledge of the real estate industry, I moved from residential resale to residential property management with Nancy Chandler Associates. Although I no longer list or sell real estate for sale at this time, I believe it is important for me to understand all aspects of my industry so that I can best recommend services for my clients. While property management is a challenge, I am always excited to learn new things and meet new people!

I believe in giving every client the opportunity to get the best deal and the most professional service. I believe that it is my job to make sure that my client's best interests are protected every step of the way. I believe in a friendly, cooperative relationship between agents in order to achieve each side's goals in a professional and non-confrontational manner.

I do not believe that it is "all about me". I do not believe that agents should snipe or pick at each other when each is only trying to do what is best for their client(s). I do not believe that clients should be hung out to dry after they close. I do not believe that you have to be shady or dishonest in order to have a successful career in this industry.

In what spare time I have I enjoy reading, camping, fishing, home improvement projects, gardening, playing with my dog and cats, going to the beach and going to concerts.

Working in Hampton Roads requires knowledge of many areas. I work in the Southside Hampton Roads area (Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth and Suffolk). My firm also has an excellent relocation/referral service that allows us to refer business to reputable and reliable firms outside of our target area.

Megan was great to work with. She had a lot of patience taking us to as many houses as we needed to see until we found the right one. Once we did find the right one, she was great about getting the ball rolling and making sure we were able to submit a contract as quickly as possible so that we wouldn't lose it. Even though we moved quickly, however, there were no details overlooked and she was great about making sure the seller and his realtor did everything by the books. The first time I came in contact with Megan was one year ago, September 2005 when I decided to purchase a home. Megan introduced herself via email and then by newsletter. I was so impressed with Megan's knowledge and accomplishments that, at our initial meeting, I initiated an agreement to start checking for homes in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach/Chesapeake areas.
