We first came to know Melanie through the Kellogg agency, the firm we use to manage the property that we rent. She immediately went to work for our interests, and continued a professional relationship with us for about six months until the owners of the house that we now occupy terminated their rental agreement with us. Melanie was quite responsive to our developing ideas in what we wanted and provided us with a variety of possible houses that we might purchase. At that time there were not too many available houses on the market in our price range, but she took the time that we needed to carefully view the homes. She did not present a prejudicial view of any of the homes, but when we noted some anomaly in the house, she would make judicious comments from her experience of realestate, I did not sense that she was steering us to any particular house. She not only adeptly guided us through the process of buying the house, she made sure that we knew what was going on and the implications of each step. The process was expedited by the fact that we were paying cash for the home, but I would have to say that it could not have gone smoother. Communication was great. Since we could not move into the house until after July 11, she facilitate a rental agreement by which the former owners could continue to stay in the house for a nominal amount. This was a win-win deal for everyone. Her last act was the final walk-through to make sure the former owners left the house in good condition.
