About Me:
I am a West Texas native and have lived in Lubbock for the last 31 years. I grew up in the small town of Abernathy but spent most of my entertainment and shopping dollars in Lubbock during my teens. Who could ever forget the Brittainy restaurant, Underwoods, and the CharKing DriveIn? The grand homes along 19th Street were ahhh-inspiring to me back then and it was rumored those "mansions" were all owned by doctors and bankers. Now I know that the owners of the homes along 19th Street are a more diverse group!
I am proud to be a wife of 34 years, mother of 2, grandmother of 3, baby boomer, Texas Tech University graduate, native Texan, creative writer, supporter of the arts, and a Realtor working at Keller Williams here in Lubbock, Texas.
My work career has been diverse but I have always been a customer service specialist. While working for Ma Bell, South Park Hospital, and Texas Tech University, I always understood the importance of my clients and customers. Open, honest, and clear communication is the key to excellent working relationships. My creativity, enthusiasm and warmth allow me to go that extra mile and form bonds with customers and co-workers alike.
I have worked in apartment management, owned rental properties and participated in rehab-ing older homes. I am in the early stages of my Real Estate career and already asking myself why I didn't find this niche years ago. I have had a fascination with old homes, new homes, condos, townhomes, garden homes, apartments, duplexes, highrises, rustic homes, bungalows, mid-century modern dwellings, 'green' homes, vintage homes, brownstones, contemporary structures, and so on for many years...much to my husband's dismay. So in addition to being an exciting and challenging new venture for me, this Real Estate career is giving me a way to justify my obsession.
