Originally from Youngstown, Ohio, I graduated from Youngstown State University with a B.A in Accounting. After working for a short while for the State of Ohio Auditor's Office, I moved to the Washington DC area in 1989 for a foreign service career with USAID. I was later assigned to Singapore where I lived for three years and traveled around SE Asia auditing forein aid programs to developing countries. I returned to DC in 1993 and later left the government to work for KPMG LLP where I worked as a consultant managing a variety of audit/consulting projects for large government and private sector organizations.
I purchased my first home in 2000. Then I bought a rental rehab property, and then another, and one more. I so enjoyed everything about the housing market that I decided that I wanted to try to make a living buying and selling Real Estate. I left my auditing/consulting career in early 2003 and haven't looked back! I LOVE buying and selling real estate and helping others to do the same! It's the best investment one can make and it's something that I should've done much earlier! I love sharing what I've learned and helping my friends and clients make the decision to buy and sell.
I LOVE Running and have just completed my 2nd Marathon! In addition to Real Estate, I enjoy "going the extra mile" for a good cause. This April, I ran in the 111th Boston Marathon as part of "Team Hoyt" and, in addition to running 26.2 miles, I raised $3,000 for The Hoyt Foundation. If you´re not familiar with "Dick and Rick Hoyt", or are interested in supporting their cause, please go to: http://www.firstgiving.com/marian26 Thank-you!
In addition to Real Estate, I"m also very passionate about maintaining a fit, healthy lifestyle and like to encourage others to do the same. Along with my partner, Michelle, we recently purchased a CURVES fitness center for women and so enjoy being in such a positive environment that encourages women to become more empowered and to live longer, more enriched lives!
