Mike grew up on a fruit farm in rural southwest Michigan, where he learned how to work hard, the importance of integrity and honesty, and gained a sense and appreciation of what it means to be part of a community.  After joining, and while serving in the Army National Guard from 1993-1999, Mike pursued and obtained his Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance from Western Michigan University in 1999. After working as a Finance Manager for two different Fortune 500 companies, Mike choose to pursue his passion for educating and helping people with their finances.

After spending time as Mortgage Finance Professional and gaining extensive experience in mortgage consultation, construction finance, and financial management, Mike specialized in structuring financing to benefit the Buyer & Seller, Refinance, 1st Time Buyers, New Construction, Jumbo and Conforming, Home Equity, VA, FHA loans; Mike thoroughly enjoys educating others on the process of buying a home and helping them avoid the pitfalls associated with the process.

Mike now works as a Management Consultant working with Business Intelligence systems in the financial sector.  Mike also recently chose to become a Consumer Advocate specifically related to the mortgage industry.  So if you have a question, or need help working with a Mortgage Broker or a Loan Officer feel free to drop Mike a note, as he is always happy to help others avoid costly mistakes.

Mike is also a Jazz singer in his spare time in and around the Chicago area. He also enjoys volunteering for Junior Achievement and the ALS Association, hiking, camping, scuba diving, and spending time with his family.
