What sets me and my company apart...

As a recent client said, "Marilyn is the best.  I work with many brokers throughout New England...I rank her #1!"

I'm proud to lead "The Best Team in Town"!  We may not be the biggest, but we are the best!  Our clients agree:

  • "Our experience surpassed all expectations!"
  • "We always knew what was going on!"
  • "The quality of your staff exceeds 'industry standards!'"
  • "You made buying and selling as easy as it ever could be!"

How can we help?

We are intimately familiar with the variety of offerings our local market has, whether you are interested in buying or selling a three bedroom village cape in New London; a condominium on the golf course at Lake Sunapee Country Club; a lake front cottage on Pleasant Lake; a brand new, 4,000-5,000 sq. ft. home; a convenient condominium apartment near all services; an antique home outside of town on several acres w/ Ragged Mtn. views; or a waterfront mansion worth millions on Lake Sunapee---just to mention a few.

But, not only do we know the inventory, we know the ins and outs and ups and downs of our market.  We specialize in communication with our clients:  we respond quickly, are easy to reach, provide fast service, constant contact,  and continuous feedback.  Plus, our professional, first class operation works as a team to insure that there is always someone here for you.   You can be sure that we will take care of all the details to make the process flow as smoothly as possible.

More about me...

"Marilyn brought an accurate understanding of the market and buyer motivation, attention to detail, and patience without pressure to our very successful real estate transaction."

"We are very pleased to have had the privilege of working with Marilyn Kidder.  She handled our transaction with energy, enthusiasm, charm, humor, focus, guidance (frank and accurate), and attention to detail.  The result was a rapid, smooth, and trouble-free transaction with the new owner of our property."

My clients, whether buyers or sellers, can relax and enjoy the process because they know I'll take care of all the details for them!

Personally...I've lived in the New London/Lake Sunapee area since 1972, and, along with my husband, Bill, raised our two sons, plus several generations of sheep, pigs, and Labrador retrievers on our 1779 farm just outside of town.  I began my real estate career with a venerated local firm in 1983 and started my own company in 1987, which has grown from two brokers and 1 staff to its current number of 11 energetic sales associates and 4 support personnel.   I have volunteered on countless local and statewide boards including the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests; the Ausbon Sargent Land Preservation Trust (Chairman for 2 years) and Lands Committee; the Pleasant Lake Protective Association, Lake Sunapee Protective Association (Board, 2004; and now on its Land Protection Committees); Citizens' Advisory Committee, Town of New London (appointed 2004), the President's Advisory Council of Colby-Sawyer College, and the President's Advisory Council of New London Hospital.

For fun, the thing I love most is to spend time with my grown-up family (both sons live in town)-especially my 3 yr old granddaughter-but I also enjoy puttering in my substantial perennial gardens, working around the "farm", hanging out with my "very independent" chocolate lab, Reba, reading, attending local events, skiing, snow shoeing, kayaking, boating and beaching on Pleasant Lake with family & friends.
