Bonnie entered the real estate profession over thirty-three years ago, having owned and operated her family-owned real estate company for thirteen years in Wisconsin. Bonnie achieved not only the "Leading Edge Society" which is the third nationally recognized sales group (includes only the top few percent of Prudential sales associates nationwide), she also was considered a "Top Producer" and award winner for Re/Max in Wisconsin just before starting Montana Homes & Land, LLC, in Bozeman in April of 1993. Bonnie is also currently licensed in the state of Florida as well.

Bonnie has been a court-appointed real-estate "expert" in courts of both Wisconsin and Montana. Just before his keynote speech in Reno, Nevada, in 1999, Bonnie had the honor of having Governor Thompson of Wisconsin thank her for her single-focused efforts which resulted in The Nature Conservancy announcing in their news release "the largest land acquisition in its Wisconsin history."
