Qualifications and Background

Michael grew up in Kentucky and worked in the information technology field prior to moving to Fort Myers in 1999. His family had vacationed here for 10 years and just adored this area. An avid golfer, boater and fisherman, he spends time with his 18 year old son at many of his secret fishing spots. His 20 year old daughter and his wife of 25 years, Jamie, enjoy the day trips and a quick stop for lunch. Michael has worked as an Industrial Engineer and founded an Internet company. Because of this he has an extensive background in logistics and technology. He is determined to be the best real estate professional possible.

Michael has earned the ePRO, Graduate Real Estate Institute (GRI) and is a licensed USCG Captain. Michael became the first Realtor in SW Florida and the 11th in the state to earn his Accredited Seller Representative (ASR). A designation that encompasses both actual performance and education. The first awarded in SW Florida. Most recently Michael has completed the education and training necessary to earn his Certified Property Valuator (CPV), only the second awarded in Lee County. He now offers Broker Price Opinions as part of his advanced service to his clients. Michael has just completed training by the National Valuations Standards Institute and is NVSI-Certified.

Michael worked for 15 years with UPS in a variety of roles. His training and management of projects helped him build his own business. This drive did not stop when he retired from UPS at an early age and did not stop when he sold his Internet company. www.mis.net

Inventory levels, sales, closings, all are tracked daily to build a knowledgebase that will benefit both the team of agents and the clients they serve. Areas of Expertise

Being a avid boater you learn the waterways of Fort Myers, Sanibel and Cape Coral. With Key West being only 114 nautical miles from the Sanibel Causeway we venture out in that direction often. We do all kinds of boating on a variety of boats including a 48' Searay Sedan, a 28' Sea Ray bow rider and a center console fishing boat.

Knowing waterfront property from the water side perspective is a tremendous advantage. I live just off McGregor Blvd. and have played many of the over 150 golf courses in Lee and Collier County Florida.

My first career was in the technology world and from that grew a passion for details and the use of technology. I love the fact that I can help clients do so much before ever walking into a home. It really is a time savings for them and they feel extremely educated before purchasing a home.

Fort Myers, Fort Myers Beach, Cape Coral, North Fort Myers, Estero and Bonita Springs are all areas I have assisted customers in buying and selling homes. I know these areas because I work and live here, my kids go to school here and we have friends all over this area.

I have been involved in both commercial and residential building projects from design to construction and inspections. The construction knowledge helps me with clients who require specifics for a home or have questions regarding construction differences, upkeep costs or repair/replacement issues.

I retired from United Parcel Service after 32 years of service. I had the pleasure of working with Michael Polly from 1980 through 1994. During that time Michael was instrumental in our information technology department and business planning and engineering.  Before Michael arrived much of UPS was run through phone calls. Michael's primary responsibility was to develop and implement programs for electronic transmission of information and to speed up the flow of our feeder network which in turned improved service to our customers. Michael was one of the first to take UPS into the electronic age through his advanced and futuristic approaches.
