- Florence is a town of about 8,000 people. Located on the centeral Oregon coast about one hour west of Eugene Oregon.
I moved to Florence Oregon on the central Oregon coast in mid 1999. After a 25 year career of auto collision repair business on the west side of the Portland metro area, I needed a change to a slower life. Florence Oregon is 80% retirees in a town of 8,000. I'm a minority as I still have kids at home that are turning out to be wonderful people. In July of 2003 I became a licensed Realtor here. I went on to earn my ABR and Completed my GRI designation in mid 2006. I am past president of the Central Oregon Coast Board of Realtors. I also am Past president of the Florence Food Share, our local food pantry for people who need extra help. In my spare time I restore old gas pumps of the 1940's for display.
