Marty describes himself as just another S.O.B. (son of broker). A 4th generation REALTOR, Marty's family continues the 108 year old real estate firm in the Philadelphia, PA area. A top producing agent and Realtor of the Year in the mid 1970's, Rueter left the family business to join the then emerging Century 21 organization. Starting first in the Middle Atlantic States, he rose up the corporate ladder to become Sr. Vice President, at the company's International Headquarters in Irvine, CA -- responsible for training, relocation and other important franchise services with the worldwide Century 21 system. Marty left Century 21 at the beginning of 1999, and today is founder, president and C.E.O. of Weichert Real Estate Affiliates, Inc., the franchising arm of N.J. based Weichert, Realtors. With over 550 company owned and affiliated offices, the Weichert organizations ranks among the industry's leading firms, and the largest individually owned real estate company in America. In 2006, the Weichert Family of Companies generated in excess of $73 billion in total revenues. Rueter's affiliate organization was named one of the Top Ten Fastest Growing Franchises among all catergories by Entreneur Magazine in 2005. An accomplished speaker, author and self-styled poet, a GRI and CRS charter member, he resides in NJ, TN and AL whenever he's not "at home" on Delta Airlines!
