Originally born in California, my family moved to Vienna when I was 4 years old. When I was 8 my mom got her real estate license. I grew up listening to real estate at the dinner table every night. I spent time at the office with my mom when the MLS service meant a huge electric typewriter with special suction cups to put the phone receiver on to connect to the system. I remember helping stuff envelopes to send mailings. And I remember when contracts were always presented in person because fax machines weren't around yet.
I watched the times change and by the time I was older, I was hooked on Real Estate. I got my license and now my mom and I are a team.
Before getting my license I spent 10 years as a customer support manager. The experience I gained from those years I think make a big difference in being a successful Realtor. I understand how to work with customers. I translated technical jargon into plain english for customers, which is a lot like explaining confusing contracts to a client. And I managed a team of people, which is a lot like managing the process of going from contract to closing.
I love my new career. I love working with sellers and marketing their home. Negotiating contracts on their home, and helping them get the most possible for their home. I love working with buyers and finding a new home, a place where their life will be centered and where they will build new memories.
