I work for University Islamic Finanicial and we provide Shriah Compliant Home Financing. I live in Granbury, TX,

I am native of Hyderabad, India and moved to Pennsylvania, USA in 1989. I worked for Amtrak for over 10 years in their reservation office as a Sales Agent. I won numerous awards and decided to work in the Real Estate. Working for 3 years as a Realtor, I met a few Loan Officers and I like the Mortgage profession. When I was offered to work for Trident Mortgage as Mortgage Loan officer, I took the offer. Later I joined Fleet Bank to work with low to moderate income borrowers. It was very satisfying to provide the goal of home ownership to customers, as most of them never thought they could own a "Home". Fleet Bank merged with Bank of America and I still continue to work for low to moderate income borrowers earning " Platinum Club" status for 2005 & 2006 which is awarded to the top 5% of the loan officer.

I moved to Texas in 2009 and I was feeling uncomfortable with "Interest" as this is against my Religion. At one time Shariah Compliant Financing was more expensive to customers. When I saw the oppurtunity that I can still continue with "financing" profession and no longer have to comprise my Faith & Religion and that the customer does not have to pay more for Shariah Compliant financing,  I took the oppurtunity and joined University Islamic Financial.

University Islamic Financial (UIF) offers Murabaha financing  which is also known as an “installment sale” contract. In this case, UIF will act as an agent for University Bank and purchase the property a customer identifies. University Bank will then sell the property back to the customer at an agreed-upon, marked-up price. Down payments for our Murabaha contracts may be as low as 5% in certain states
