Qualifications

  • I am a member in good standing of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors. (InterNACHI)
  • I have passed InterNACHI's certification exam;  this is an annual requirement.
  • I complete a minimum of 24 hours of continuing education annually.
  • Courses have been completed in all major components of a residential property, including structure, roof, electrical, plumbing, heating and airconditioning, and moisture penetration as well as various preventive maintenance courses.
  • I subscribe to and follow InterNACHI's Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics.
  • I generate easy to read inspection reports complete with color digital pictures where appropriate.

 

 I also offer the following:

  • Approximately 40 years of commercial real estate experience including development, financing, redevelopment, and asset management.
  • I have personally remodeled and sold 20 residential properties.
  • I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Economics as well as an MBA degree.
  • I was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force and am a Viet Nam Veteran.

I am a member of the Southeast Area Suburban Realtors Association as well as Tri-County Realtors Association.

What to expect

I focus on educating home buyers, especially first time buyers, on maintenance issues and how to keep their home in good condition.  I take whatever time is needed to answer a client's questions and explain what I am looking for and why.  I deliver the report to the client and review all important issues so the client is comfortable with the condition of the home they are purchasing.  This investment is too important and too long term not to know what to expect in the way of maintenance and potential replacement costs.
