About Us:
I am a Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist and hold a Real Estate Salesperson License in the State of Indiana. The company that I work for, Mortgage Professional Group, Inc., offers the type of service and products that make it the preferred lender in Northern Indiana.
I am also a Senior Executive Consultant for US Consumer Credit Restoration Association. This has allowed me to take clients that were previously denied a mortgage due to recent bankruptcies, foreclosures, etc. and guide them through credit repair and into a home of their own. As a Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist, I strive to help my clients use their home as more than just a place to live, but as an investment vehicle. My trusted referral partners and myself like to look at all aspects of their lives to make sure the clients are protected. It's not unusual for a client to get a referral to an estate planning attorney, financial planner, insurance agent, CPA or tax planner. My goal is to help my clients with the mortgage portion of their comprehensive financial plans (long and short term).
With that said, the "credit crunch" and new lending standards have caused those of us that intend to stay in the financial services sector to alter our business plans somewhat. Because we are now using risk-based lending models, the client's credit score is more important than ever. In fact, the majority of clients I see could save thousands of dollars a year on credit card and auto loan interest and insurance costs, not to mention better mortgage interest rates and the chance for a lower downpayment. With the loss of the FHA downpayment assistance programs, we are constantly looking for ways to help our clients get into a home with as little money out of pocket, allowing them to purchase necessities or even invest for better safety, security and rate of return. And if you are curious, YES, I can still do 100% financing.
I currently work with other mortgage lenders, as well as real estate agents, to help qualify their customers and get them into a home. I work with Rent to Own / Lease Option home sellers to help qualify their customers and get them on the right track to owning the homes they live in within the new couple years.
I guess you could say I strive to take a first-time home buyer from renter status through a customized credit improvement program if necessary, to preapproval with a lender and then hand them off to one of my select real estate agents. Once they have found a house, we find them the best financing options taking into consideration the stage of life they are in, any upcoming "life events", savings and retirement goals and special needs such as tax planning or wills & trusts. We continue to be available to assist our clients even after the sale and get a large amount of our business as referrals from our raving fan base of previous clients who we now consider friends.
