Description
Commercial / Investment real estate -- income producing properties, IRS 1031 tax-deferred exchange experts. Multi-family, office, industrial and warehouse.

About Brent Greer

I am a commercial/investment real estate specialist and 1031 adviser/exchangor, representing buyers and sellers of cash-producing investment properties. An investment adviser who uses real estate as the tool to build wealth. I place particular emphasis on IRS 1031 Tax-Deferred Exchange consulting, structuring transactions that assist investors who are moving up to larger properties every few years. The best part of what I do? . . . Help investors (debating between real estate and IRA funding) to understand the following: "People are perfectly willing to help you pay your bills -- if you let them!"

I counsel my clients, who come to understand that real estate routinely generates returns far exceeding IRA, pension and stock investments by exploiting cash flow, equity buildup, appreciation, leverage and cost recovery. Most of all, my clients can be assured I will work with them in a manner that is ethical, professional and controlled.

Part of the original Prudential Commercial expansion into Central Ohio, I am a member of the National Association of Realtors, Ohio Association of Realtors, Realtors Commercial Alliance, Columbus Board of Realtors, Ohio Commercial Real Estate Exchange Association, Central Ohio Commercial Information Exchange, and Columbus Real Estate Exchangors. Away from the office, I am a personal safety instructor, teaching self-defense, youth safety, crime avoidance and various tactical safety programs.

Counseling

I work with both first-time investors, as well as experienced buyers and sellers. Property types include everything from large multi-family complexes and development ground, offices, down to a 5-family apartment building. Focus recently has been multi-family housing since there is such high demand for properties not coming up often for sale because they are such strong investments.

In 2008, I served as president of Columbus Real Estate Exchangors (CREE), an organization of brokers and investment counselors from throughout Central Ohio specializing in IRS 1031 tax-deferred exchanges. In 2009, I served as Membership Chair of Business Network Associates (BNA), an independent networking organization in Central Ohio focused on providing services for high net worth clients.

Testimonials

"I have known Brent for well over seven years, been associated with him in real estate both as a friend and colleague. Respected and admired by peers in his surrounding arena, this gave me the impression this professional is truly a professional. Strong integrity, strong knowledge of the industry, I would highly recommend Brent." Ralph Renninger, November 26, 2010.

"Brent is an exceptional commercial real estate professional. His communication, marketing, and analytical skils are among the best in our company. He continually comes up with new and innovative techniques to market properties and to serve his clients. He is one of the leaders in our organization and is well respected and well thought of by all who work with him. I personally rely on Brent for counsel in a variety of areas, including information systems, personnel management, public relations and strategic planning.  I consider him a key member of our organization and i greatly value both my professional and personal relationship with him. He approaches everything that he does with integrity, fairness, and a drive toward the end goal." David Mussari, owner/managing broker PCRE, July 30, 2009.

"Brent performed advance site research and recommendations for Premier for the Columbus BODIES show. He found a high-impact, high-energy site adjacent to the Easton Town Center, a huge Midwest retail destination. With very little advanced notice, Brent tracked down the lone executive for CompUSA, which had closed down and whose rep was virtually impossible to reach, and then quickly coordinated with the CompUSA attorneys and Easton Market owners to reach an agreement. Brent recommended the architectural firm that ended up helping with all permits to convert the interior space of a recently closed CompUSA retail site into museum quality space. Brent was the one person on-site team who scouted and negotiated the venue, from start to finish, and then set us up with the local contractors to get us constructed and open. In addition, and without many accolades or profit for himself, Brent drew upon his journalism background to help Premier understand the dynamics of Central Ohio media and personalities in their efforts to tailor and roll-out an ongoing marketing initiative."  Rachelle Rowe, June 8, 2009.

"I had the pleasure to begin my association with Brent in 2007. He is extremely knowledgeable, hardworking, and honest. Where many other agents that I dealt with saw a first time investor as a prospect for a quick sale of less than desirable properties, Brent took the time to understand what my goals were and to make sure that I understood the ins and outs of each step of the process. I highly recommend Brent to anyone who who is looking for a trusted adviser, and not just an agent." Aaron Mitchelll, December 27, 2008.

"I have come to rely on Brent because he understands commercial real estate thoroughly and is a recognized expert. He understands the tax implications of major transactions and can demonstrate whether properties will truly cash flow as intended. He has the integrity to advise against a property if the closing is not in the clients best interest." Cary Hager, August 27, 2008.
