Background

My love of homes began in the 70's when my father started a Custom Home Building business in Morris County, NJ, today known as Shawbuilt Homes.  Our first project was a spec home and the entire family was involved in the building process. We hired subcontractors for much of the work, but the family did any work that we could, as long as it could be done well.  That means my 2 brothers and I acted not only as the clean-up crew, but we did the insulation work and all the painting.  Do you know how itchy you get messing around with insulation? My father had always been a carpenter hobbiest, so he did all the trim work in the home--and I assure you there were no GAPs in the miters. One of my "fondest" memories of that first project is the concrete block retaining wall.  A mason was hired to construct the wall, which promptly tumbled over.  Frustrated, and not willing to pay to have it redone, my father, brothers and I tackled the job.  Sure we were sore when the wall was finished for the 2nd time, but I am proud to say it still stands some 30 years later.

Eventually I graduated to working in the office, doing everything from estimating job costs, scheduling vendors and subs, doing in-house payroll and working closely with our customers helping them to make all the selections for their new home. That was the best part of all.

In 1990 my husband John was transferred to Danville, PA so we packed up and moved, and I was no longer able to participate in the family business.  In 1994 another job change brought us to our Home in Lower Nazareth, PA.  Closer to our extended families, and closer to civilization we think of the Lehigh Valley as Our Home.  We just love this area.  In 2004 the bug bit and I got my PA Real Estate license, and it was the best thing I ever did! 

Acustomed to working in a small, family run business, where personal attention and service were the #1 priortiy, Grace Realty Co. Inc. is a perfect fit and the place I choose to  "hang" my license. Being at GRACE is like being in a family, and all our clients become a part of the family too. I enjoy all of my clients and get as much satisfaction from finding them the  "perfect" home for the "perfect" price as if it were my own. 

When it comes to my Seller clients, they really seem to appreciate the years of hands on experience I had in the building business  which is a big help in getting their home Ready and in Shape to sell, Pricing it to Perfection, and helping them to yield Top Dollar from their Sale.
